A couple of weeks ago I received a lovely goody in the mail – Chasing Pandora’s new single “Time”! I’m very grateful to Mel & Keith and to Sam for still keeping me in the loop… even though I’m not an active writer any longer!
Soooo… I meant to post this much, much sooner – but as everything else in my life, it just slid into oblivion. Which it certainly didn’t deserve, I might add! Time is rather different in style from what we’re used to by CP – but it really is great! But don’t take my word for it – listen and judge for yourself:

Visitor found in my garden about an hour ago: a swallowtail caterpillar. Not that I knew that then, but the wondrous place that is the internet has an answer to every question. Even if it’s “caterpillar with orange dots on black stripes” LOL!

Just in time to sweeten the waiting time for my September visit to Berlin, a 3-day Munich trip awaits in August. Most of the time will be taken up with work, but I’m so ready for another change of scenery!
This is Munich Airport, taken during my journey home from my fabulous Roger Hodgson & friends adventure last March.

I took both these photos in Berlin last year (the courageous young man is my dad). If I could take the weather with me and were a little younger… I think I might want to give it another chance in my life. Don’t know if it’s the age or just the effects of living for too long on an island that’s too small for comfort sometimes… but I really miss my hometown, and with it all the possibilities it has.
A policeman starts his duty in Gharb early in the morning and probably thinks he’s struck gold, finding cars parked on yellow lines. Even more so because there’s a hire car among them… what’s new, hux? So hubby, who parked that jeep – and pleads guilty as charged, but parking, too, is an ass in this village – finds that he received a parking fine at 06:15 a.m.
But – and this is why law really is an ass in this place – others got scot-free, like this vehicle which doesn’t just infringe on the yellow lines but also presents a serious obstacle to those using the alley exactly opposite it…
And I might add that this sort of discrimination is a regular, despicable practice in Gharb. (You might recall earlier blog posts of mine about this sad subject.) The icing on the cake: when hubby confronted the policeman with the allegation that he’d fined him because it was a hire-car, this supposed guard of law and order threatened him not to interfere with this work, “tindahhalx f’xogholi”. Lovely, isn’t it? On two occasions I asked policemen for help when I was not able to access our garage because of vehicles blocking the way, and both times I was made to feel as though it was me who’d broken the law. Law?! Hallini…

My fascination with photo manipulation continues. This time, it’s not OOB. Just plain manipulation. I soooo love my Wacom tablet!
And this is what the original photos looked like…
Sitting at our favourite pizza place in Marsalforn last night, we were gifted this amazing sight… I was very happy I had bothered to bring my camera!
After an evening of tweaking and fighting not one but two CSS files, I can’t believe that I actually succeeded in getting the layout just to my liking! Editing one CSS online, the other on the PC before uploading it, and doing another few changes to the header photos on the side… I fully expected the whole thing to blow up in my face; I was totally flabbergasted when everything worked just as it should LOL!
I’m quite delighted that I already had a good handful of visitors. What I didn’t like is that they kept searching for content and didn’t find any. Please do come back! Next month or so… I did upload the first photos: all of my “Out of Bounds” creations have their proper home now. And slowly – very slowly! – the other categories will fill up too. Just takes time…
