Current Mood:Exhausted emoticon Exhausted

Already 7 days?! Kinda shocking that so much time has passed and I have no idea where exactly it went off to!

If anyone needs proof how strangely my brain is working at the moment (strangely? More like, not working at all!): I just found out that Wen had passed two awards on to me, one of them rather sweet. :) Thank you Wen! The strange part is, I commented on her post on Sunday without realising that my name was in it. Duh!

I’ll be honest: I’m not quite sure what the Eagle Nest Blog Award is about; and I’m a little too lazy to go googling for it. But I’m pretty certain it’s nothing nasty – hopefully the “Egel” (which means leech) in the title isn’t meant to be the german word! I’m sorry, maybe now I was a little overly cheeky…

Um, I meant to say, I’ll happily forward both awards to the first 5 blogger friends that come to my mind – and if any one of them has received one or the other already: Well, twice is better than not at all, right? :D

As I’m extremely busy (I mean even worse than usual – can you imagine?!) tying up loose ends of work before starting my new career next Monday, I’m asking for forgiveness if my blog posts are getting increasingly boring. I know that I’m wasting your time – but NaBloPoMo is what it is, and I ain’t gonna chicken out! :D If any of my staggering 10 e-mail subscribers decide quit: don’t feel bad about it, I’m totally with you all the way!

Here is one last snippet of info, which I meant to post about but forgot – and Andre kindly though inadvertently reminded me of in his comment on my Wordless Wednesday photo: Last weekend I updated gozoculture.com with details of “Festa Nicec” (Feast Of Niches), a cultural activity that intends “to highlight these ‘little street chapels’ while bringing out their cultural, folkloristic and artistic aspects so that they may be better appreciated by society.” (Quoted from the press release).

Here is a little teaser that I made with Animoto (there is a full slideshow of these niches including captions on gozoculture.com!):

Festa Nicec starts tomorrow and ends on Sunday. The full programme can be found on the said website – but its highlight is probably the re-enactment of a traditional Gozitan wedding that will be taking place in the streets and alleys of Victoria’s old city centre (the ‘mandragg’) on Saturday evening. Beautiful idea! I only hope the weather will live up to its reputation; it’s supposed to be “Summer of St. Martin” – but right now there’s not a trace of summer to be felt!!

Thanks for including me in the Egel Nest Award you’re passing on. I did get that one and I can tell you that Egel is the last name of the person who invented it. I actually wondered if Egel was a typo for Eagle but I didn’t know about it’s meaning in German. You made me laugh.

Thanks for the awards! The first blog awards I got.
Will check out their meaning as soon as I have some more time to surf. This time of year is always so hectic!!! This Saturday there will be an Italian girl coming to stay with us for a week. We don’t know her and she doesn’t know us!! It is for an international project of the school of our daughter. Now the girl is coming this way and some time in April our daughter will be going to Siena. WOW what fun! but it makes us even more busy!
