The days in Eltville (not Frankfurt, really!) flew by extremely quickly. They were so jam-packed with work – but also play! – that there was hardly any time at all to sit down quietly and take a breath. It was the first meeting I participated in, so I didn’t know what to expect. But although it was literally breathtaking at times (“You’ve got 10 minutes to change in your rooms, then we meet in the lobby!”) it was also fun. And I really can’t blog about it without saying thanks to Kempinski. The whole do was extremely well organised, we had great guest speakers and very creative activities (the theme of the meeting was, after all, Creativity!). The food was awesome and plenty (I’m certain I gained a couple of kilos!!), and the wine flew as freely as wine can flow… My only gripe is that most of it was of the white variety (the area is famous for its Riesling), which doesn’t agree with me for some reason or other, though I didn’t suffer as badly as I expected I would…

It was also so great to meet those colleagues from other countries that to-date I only “knew” by e-mail or telephone, as well as those who I didn’t know at all. I’m actually looking forward to 2009!

After the end of the official programme this afternoon, I joined a handful of Germans for an optional workshop on German press release writing, conducted by none other than Brigitte Scherer of the FAZ, which was a great bonus. Now it’s all over and I’m slowly coming to my senses again. Then again, not really, for instead of slouching on my very comfortable bed with the book I brought with me (and haven’t touched yet!), I’m drawn to the photos I took, and to my blog! At the moment I’m uploading 40 of them for an animoto video (it’s below this post :D)

My flight back home is tomorrow evening, which means I’ll have some time to explore the beautiful surroundings of the hotel; the autumn colours are simply fantastic! However, one of the worst stupidities a photographer can commit, has been committed by yours truly: unbelievably, I forgot the bloody charger for my camera batteries at home!! I’m keeping both, fingers and toes crossed that I’ll get a few stunning pictures in before the last juice runs out… I already started uploading a few shots on my photoblog and hopefully I’ll be adding more soon!

You sound very much as though you are still running and loving every rushing moment! Such excitement and I really don’t blame you! Loved the video clip! Going to check out more of your photos!
