Meet Renzo, Knight of Gozo
Wow, the week is over, and the weekend with it! That’s probably due to the fact that I had quite a lot of fun over the past few days. One of the highlights was Earth Hour last night – did you flip the switch to off as well? Over at the hotel, five hundred candles did a wonderful job at making people happy. The candlelit dinner was nothing short of fabulous – even though the room temperature soared, giving the true meaning to “warm candle light”. I took a whole bunch of photos, which I’ve uploaded to the Kempinski’s Flickr page.
And then there was the major and long awaited event of Renzo, Knight of Gozo, being born! Renzo is the new mascot of the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz. Isn’t he handsome? Well, he would be. Dreamed up by two ladies, my boss Tanja and myself, and then brought to life by a third one, the very talented Nicole, there was simply no way he could turn out ugly! And I can tell you, we’re all very much in love with him…

For a while I was kidding myself, hoping he’d be able to take some of my workload onto his strong shoulders. But that illusion only lasted until I started juggling three identities on facebook and twitter (yep, you can follow Renzo on twitter, too!). Now that’s what I’d call split personality…
